For more information or reservations call 918-682-4811 Owners History Bob and Paulette Halvorson are owners of Buffalo River Carriage Company. The company was formally Alpine Carriages of Glyndon, Minnesota and was sold to Mike Schmidt, a dedicated horseman that helped Bob on busy weekends. Bob provided carriage and sleigh rides in the cities of Fargo, North Dakota, Moorhead, Minnesota and the surrounding areas for more than a decade. Bob and our son, Michael, developed the Buffalo River Pumpkin Patch in 2003 and are open for six weeks from the middle of September to the end of October. We plan to continue providing the public with horsedrawn rides for this wonderful fall event. Bob has driven carriages during the spring months for Carriage Memories of Henrietta, Oklahoma for the past two years working at the Castle and the Azalea Festival. Bob’s background takes him to truck driving, and insurance sales, however, he has always had a passion for horses and buggies. On weekends you would find him harnessing up Blackie and Brownie, now deceased, taking the whole family for rides to the neighbors, to friends, and sometimes just to town. We are now permanent residents of Muskogee, Oklahoma, living and operating our business just across the street from Honor Heights Park. We are excited to meet new people and provide them with many memorable experiences. |
